A side benefit for Hall & Wilcox is that Yammer provides an opportunity for business continuity as staff can be contactable in a crisis. This benefit was uncovered during a crisis (earthquake) scenario simulation.

Another user case is from GS1 Australia when the mail server went down; staff continued to communicate via Yammer to ensure a critical application deployment occurred.
